TN Camp

Hey all,
I'm home, exhausted, but so glad I got to go! We had a blast! The first night we were there they put us up in a hotel. Us girls got 2 adjoining rooms and it was so fun. Just like old times! The next morning we went to church and ate afterwards. That afternoon we went out to the camp--wow it was so nice! It was a group area in a state park. The cabins were beautiful with a kitchen, bedrooms, living area and 2 bathrooms. The preaching was wonderful...my dad did most of it. The Lord spoke to me about being the best Mom that I could ever be. I'm always trying to focus on being a better wife, and of course I always will, but the Lord really spoke to me about the impact that I as a Mom will have on my kids. It's really scary to think of!
It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere, but we did have choir and sports during the day. The morning was a devotion, breakfast, short service and the different classes. The one for the girls went really well! We had a great time!
Our cabin was the closest to the dining/church area so I was able to lay Brooke down for naps in there during the day and if no one was in there, we could run and check on her occasionally. I would put her in my bed during the day cause the cabins were FREEZING! Better than hot though! The a/c was ice! :) Anyway, so she would be there, so tiny, inside my sleeping bag in the bunk with pillows all round her. You could hardly see her! At night she obviously slept in the crib but it was so close to the ground I was afraid she would get sick! PTL that she didn't!
I made a few new friends and it was great to see old friends, and, of course, spend time with my family. It was hard leaving knowing that I won't see them for a while, but I was so glad to get home to my husband because I missed him so bad!
I will post pictures tomorrow probably...too tired to do it now.
Love you all...

New clothes...

Chubby little tummy!

just chillin! :) I love these ones!

Today I got Brooke some clothes on clearance at Kohl's. It was really almost the first time I have bought her clothes since she got so many at her baby shower. I wanted to post some pictures of her in her new skirt and little jeans (forgive me but they were too cute!). She was actually smiling a lot and I got some good ones!
I am leaving tomorrow (Saturday) for the Vick's family camp in TN and will be gone until Wednesday. My family is going too, of course, so I'm really excited about it. I am teaching the girls one 0f the days and I'm kind of nervous about that but hopefully it'll go OK. I'm doing it on contentment cause that is what God is teaching me right now!
Love you always!

My Life...

Is way too busy. I got back Saturday and this week we have special meetings every night. Then I'm leaving Saturday for the Vick's family camp where my dad is preaching and we are all singing, and that is until Wednesday. I'm doing my best to keep Brooke on some sort of schedule so she is not totally messed up and miserable. She does really good though, and if we are out when it's her nap time she'll eventually sleep in her car seat. (After some fussing :( )
Last night all of our brothers came over--Danny, Adam and TJ (he's adopted :) and it was, as usual, a wild time. I made macaroni and cheese for them and egg rolls. A very random meal but it was good! We stayed up way too late laughing our heads off!
Well, that's what is going on around here. I've gotten 2 more piano students and possibly 4 more eventually if they all come through for me. :)
I love you all very much! Thank you to those who post comments! I'm glad to see you enjoy the pictures!

Little Pooper

Little POOPER!!!
Ok, enough pictures...please clean me up now...
Dad you look goofy :)
This is so sweeet!!!

Brooke's nickname is pooper....and these pictures can show you why:) Actually, I don't even know why we call her pooper. I make up the weirdest names sometimes. Nate discovered her with a blow out in the diaper and he basically freaked out :) I told him that since he found it he had to clean it and he actually did and did a good job! He set her in the sink in our bathroom and she looked so funny I just had to take some pictures :)

There are also pictures of her on her very first flight at 3 1/2 months old. She did really good and even had her own seat as you can see!

As most of you know I am home safe and we had a great trip. Brookie was really good on the plane thank God. She was all smiles as soon as she saw daddy after not seeing him for 5 days. She's definitely a daddy's girl!

More pics...

Sneak peak at our Christmas picture
Me and Patti

These were all taken today at our family reunion. It wasn't a great day for a picnic since it was raining, but we had a beautiful enclosed lodge that kept us out of the rain. We just did inside stuff instead.

Playing games in the lodge we rented. It was so nice!
Brooke sitting with us to play games with all the big kids
Joe and his brother Nick and Pat. Don't they look so much like brothers?

I got to go...

Trying to fix the tire Me watching (I borrowed Anna's skirt and I think I'm gonna steal it :)

Claire chowing down on yogurt and granola. She had worked all day and had to eat dinner on the way.

I was so happy to get to go street preaching with my hubby and no baby...a nice date! :)

I got to go to Buffalo last night! I left the baby with Mom and I figured if she didn't like formula that eventually she would get hungry enough to eat it. :) Anyway, she did fine. We broke down on the way there-- something happened with the tire but they got it fixed really fast and we were on out way. Nate and I had a corner to ourselves that was not as busy as I remembered it but we still got several stacks of tracts out. We also walked through the big huge crowd watching the concert and pass out tracts. It's hard to talk to people in there but hopefully they read the tracts later. There is a guy that openly opposes them each week, but always hangs around. He is more of a Gothic one who always wears a long black and red skirt with pins and handcuffs hanging off of it. However he is obviously searching because he is coming to church on Sunday! Pray he gets saved because when people dress like that they want something for sure. They need Jesus.

We are still having a great time as you can imagine! Today the weather has been pretty warm and we have been outside swimming all day. I'm finally getting a tan at the end of the summer! :) This has been such a different trip because I have a baby now and everyone wants to see her. It's been so nice having babysitters all the time so I can go outside or do whatever I want without worrying about her! I will miss that when I go back home for sure. Built in babysitting is a rare luxury for sure.
Tonight they are going street preaching in Buffalo...I can't go and I'll probably cry because that is my favorite thing to do. :( Oh well...I should have prepared so that my baby could eat while I was gone there. Formula is much too expensive to buy, especially when I have a lot of free samples at home that I should have brought with me. But I think me and my mom are gonna do something fun with the little kids and Brookie.
Love to all!!!

Sunday was the first time since our wedding that we had my Mom and Dad's side of the family together. Brooke got to meet a lot more of her family and her little cousin, Luke, who is only 2 weeks older and weighs 7 pounds more! And they look so much a like, too and their cries sound very similar. It was adorable to see them and my Poppy together as they are his first 2 great grand kids.
