Brookie's Recent Humor :)

This is more for myself, but I wanted to document the funny things that Brookie has said lately. She's talking more and more every day and constantly makes Nate and I laugh. :) Having a 2 year old can be challenging at times, but mostly it's so much fun!

Brookie is watching me get dressed. "Mommy, are you getting dressed?"
Me, "Yes"
Brookie: "Oh. good girl!"

Brookie is helping me put laundry into the washing machine. She picks up a pair of Nate's shorts. "Hmmm. These are pretty dirty!"

On Saturday night she wanted to eat and we told her that she could eat "tomorrow". Last night after church we were going out to eat and we were asking her what she wanted to eat. "I want 'morrow," she kept saying.
I asked her, "You want to eat tomorrow?" (As if it's a thing you can eat). "Yes!"
We pull into a restaurant. Her little voice from the back seat cries out, "Yay!! Tomorrow!"

At breakfast time, she's sitting in her high chair eating and I'm doing dishes. She makes a grunting noise and sticks out her belly. "Mommy," she informs, "I'm fat like daddy."

Today she is talking to my sister on the phone. We are in the midst of potty training, so her panties were all just washed and are being dried in the dryer. Since they are almost done, I didn't put a diaper on her, deciding just to wait until the panties were ready. So her little bottom is naked. :) She tells my sister, "Anna, I have a butt!"

So these are the things that keep me laughing. Life with a 2-going-on 22-year old is such a blast. I love being a Mommy:)

Once again, I'm a little late. :) My Mom sent Brookie a surpise package the beginning of July. Some were things that were left at her house last time I was there for a visit, and of course grandma couldn't resist adding a few more things! It made her day!

Baby #2, Month Seven (a little late :)

29 weeks

This is a little late, but I needed to post for this month! The pregnancy is still going great, thank the Lord! I feel awesome and my back is not as bad as it was for my first pregnancy. I'm so thankful for that, because last time there were days when I could hardly walk.

The weather has been awfully hot (100+ and very humid) so I've been staying inside a lot, besides if I'm swimming. :)

My platelets are low again, like last time, and they are hoping that I don't get hypertension (high Blood pressure) again. My doctor said that being in the water can help, so I swim as much as I can in hopes to keep it down and not have to go on bed rest again. I would appreciate prayer for me in this area! :)

I'm still able to work out--been riding about 10-12 miles on my bike every day and I feel great! Baby Joey is still moving a ton. I love reading to Brookie and Joey every day. :) He moves a lot when I read and cuddling with my Brookie is so sweet. I love my 2 babies so much! Only about 10 more weeks!!!!!!!!

I think that Nate would kill me if I knew I was posting this. :) He would hardly let us take the picture! He puffed out his stomach as far as he could! :)

It's Here!

My Photography Blog is now open for all of you to view :). I would love comments and feedback! I'm sure the first pictures on there most of you have seen, but I wanted to start with a little of what I learned in my class. I promise I'm working on a lot more photos and will update often! I've been working on my photography blog and hoping to make it public soon! Right now Nate is helping me work on my logo but we are having some trouble with it so hopefully he can resolve that soon! I'm also trying to put together a collection of great photography sites that can inspire as well as help those of us who want to take better photos. So, look for my new blog any day!

I've found some time in the past couple days to work with photoshop and play around with my pictures a little. I'm loving this candid, natural shot from my sister's wedding!

Our 3rd Anniversary Trip

From last Thursday-Monday we went away for an anniversary trip. It was wonderful to spend almost 5 full days with my man with no distractions of children (although I missed her and couldn't wait to see her again :). We did a few things, but mostly relaxed, swam and ate. I even worked out at the hotel almost every day! Amazing!

We were looking for a beach to walk on since it was already night time and we couldn't really swim, but this was about all we came up with. I was sad the picture came out blurry, but it was taken on self timer in the almost pitch black, so not too bad :)

The next morning we headed to tour the USS Lexington. It's an aircraft carrier that is turned into a museum. Thankfully a lot of it had air conditioning!

The next day we went to the beach! I had been dreaming about this for months and it was awesome! I saw so many jelly fish in the water and was so freaked out about getting stung but thankfully it never happened. The water felt great and the sun even better :)

That night we watched the fireworks, which I already put pictures of. The next two pictures are ones I took outside of the restaurant on the water that we went to.

Anyway, like I said, we had a wonderful time! Once I got home and saw Brookie I was ready to go back and do it all over again. :) Oh well, maybe next year!

Happy Independence Day!

Nate and I are on our anniversary trip, but I just wanted to post a few pictures of our Fourth of July together! It was the first time I had seen fireworks in a while! We spent the day at the beach and the evening downtown corpus, watching the beautiful fireworks shot off the USS Lexington!
